Executive Assistant Cover Letter Example

An executive assistant dedicates his or her professionalism to aiding a corporate official, usually by providing a combination of professional service and administrative support. Most of the tasks needed to be done by all assistance are related to scheduling, secretarial work and contacts managements. The executives treat their assistants as their go-to people for ideas, recommendations and confidential help. They also assist with everything from photocopying to press briefings.

Executive assistants only answer to only their named superior. They act as this person’s confidante and office helper. They provide the assistance based on the executive’s needs. The assistants are responsible for managing the executive’s schedule, arranging meetings, and ensuring that he or she has read the right briefing material and is ready to make any needed presentations or remarks. To be an executive assistant, a person may need to start the position form the entry level or be hired after years of assistant or secretarial experience. The required job skills are including listening and communication skills, organizational skills, people/interpersonal skills and computer skills.
